Nya Silver Bells

Nya is playing Silver Bells for her friends and family. This lovely Christmas favorite was written in 1950 and was inspired by the sidewalk Santa Clauses and Salvation army solicitors on New York City’s street corners. (It may also have been inspired by a silver bell that sat on the composers desk.) Bing Crosby and Carol Richards performed it first. Silver Bells became an instant hit, and their recording of the song is still a Christmas favorite. You probably will hear it many times over the Christmas season.
